Welcome To The Flock!

Although our work, programming, and supporters range from all across the state - our Portland office staff running the behind-the-scenes show is actually quite modest.

Oregon Wildlife Foundation has been a staff of four, working diligently from our Portland administrative office for years; but this year we are thrilled to announce three new all-stars ready to gear up and get going with even more growth in conservation work in Oregon.

It is now our absolute pleasure to present...

Communications Coordinator

Hi! My name is Sarah and I’m the Oregon Wildlife Foundation’s Communications Coordinator, and responsible for all things social media and blog-related for OWF!

I’m a life-long Oregonian and have called Portland home for almost 24 years now. I graduated from Oregon State University in June 2018 with a B.A. in Digital Communication Arts, with an emphasis in social media strategy and digital marketing. Oregon has been a fantastic place to grow up, and I’m so lucky to be able to say I’m from here. In my spare time, I love crafting, baking, doing weekly movie nights with friends, going to the skate park and playing roller derby!

Working in digital marketing is something I’m extremely passionate about, as is working in the nonprofit space - so I love being able to combine those passions by working with OWF.

Development Manager

My name is Kalei Gadsby Augustine and I started as the Development Manager at OWF in August. I am excited to be working for the Foundation and supporting conservation project funding in Oregon. The wildlife safe passage initiatives are particularly important to me.

Years of road trips throughout Oregon have made me keenly aware of the danger and damage from animal collisions. I have survived two vehicle/animal collisions while driving on Oregon highways, one with a mule deer, one with a large crow and sadly, both animals died. I'm hopeful that projects like the Gilchrist Wildlife Underpass and the Watch for Wildlife campaign will protect migrating wildlife in the future and prevent more fatalities.

Professionally, I brings seven plus years of nonprofit Development experience including outreach, membership and fundraising. I have a passion for matching people to their cause and has worked with volunteers, donors, and corporate partners on campaigns and events throughout Oregon. I see my Development role as a conduit for growing philanthropy in Oregon to benefit the community and the environment. I'm committed to development work and enjoy collaborating with partners and donors to roll out exciting campaigns that align with the Foundation's mission.

Accounting & Operations Manager

Hi, I'm Nicole Nordin and I provide financial and organizational support to the OWF team while aspiring to empower a growing, yet conscientious audience.

Born and raised just a few tributaries to the north along the I-5 corridor in Kelso, WA, it took me 6+ of my recent years living in the Sierra Nevada’s to realize that the Pacific Northwest is truly my home. At the start of the decade, I moved to SE Portland and soon joined the team as the Accounting & Operations Manager.

With 5 years of prior non-profit experience, I bring significant financial savvy, a determined work ethic, and a deep passion for the outdoors to the table. Spending most of my free time snowboarding or surfing, it’s no secret that my favorite activities align copiously with the Foundation’s mission. I'm eager to contribute to the organization’s legacy of profound conservation efforts.

In addition to new staff members at OWF, this year we also welcome Lauralee Kindel and Hannah Carter as new management at our gift store!
